Here is a list of the main species allowed on the site. These species are the defaults from the Trinity Blood manga and anime. Some species will have a limit set on them for the reason of the species either being very rare or very powerful. The last thing we want is a site full of uber-characters and none of the originals. Within the list, a number appear next to the species name. This number symbolizes how many of that species is left open. Please keep in mind this number is not set in stone. As the site becomes more active and more members join, the staff will lift the restriction on certain species and allow more of them to be created.

Please note that all species information is subject to change as the admins see fit. When a change is made an announcment shall be sent out to notify the members accordingly. A message shall also be sent out when rare species are open for application again.

In order to keep things fair we are allowing only one rare species per member for the time being. In the following post one can find the information on each species and information reguarding mixed breeds.

• Beast Release [some crusnik can transform various parts of their bodies into massive mouths which can tear victims apart in seconds] [seen mainly in the novels]
  
• Haste [the ability to move at super-sonic speed for a limited amount of time]

Weaknesses

• The blood of Methuselah is the only type of blood that can allow them usage of their powers.
  
• Can drink human blood does nothing for them except remain healthy if their abilities are not used.
  
• Must feed at least two to three times a week otherwise their powers suffer.
  
• The longer they stay in a forum higher than 60 percent the more blood they need to regain their strength.
  
• In order to access power 60 percent the crusnik must issue a verbal command for the nanomachines to release more power.
  
• If a crusnik attempts to access a power of 60 or higher without a verbal command the nanomachines will either shut down and deny the command completely, or they will open up the 40 percent release.
  
• The only crusnik to reach 100 percent release was Cain and in doing so it drove him to complete insanity, the power is too great to control.
  
• If a crusnik over does it in battle, using up all the power of the nanomachines and does not drink methuselah blood to replenish their lost strength, the nanomachines will shut down completely to avoid destroying the host. If the crusnik persists, the nanomachines will begin to devour the crusnik's own body in search for energy.
  
• So far the only crusnik in existance have all been created. In theory they should be able to breed but this is yet to be seen.
  
• Crusnik can be killed by being kept from blood, the creature eventually starving to death, the nanomachines having no means of keeping themselves alive so they consume the host body.
  
• If a Crusnik is kept from Methuselah blood for a few weeks their power greatly diminishes, thus they can be killed more easily through conventional methods such as gun shot wounds, posion, beheading, blood loss, so on.
  
• Crusniks are still vulnerable to human diseases and sicknesses. If they are in a weakend state they can be killed by them.
  
• Even if they are not weakend a crusnik can still get sick. However the levels are different. A cold to a crusnik would be like a major flue to a human. It can really inhibit their powers and perseption.

In the year 2088 AD, the human race had expended to the point where earth was no longer big enough to sustain such vast amounts of one species. Hence why all previous explorations of the planet turned up empty for any signs of "aliens."

It is unknown where these creatures came from or how they evolved. All that was known about them was they were what appeared to be a race of what could only be described as Vampires. Further research revealed there appeared to be a second race of creature, a species meant to be the predator of the vampires, they were, in all essence, a vampire's vampire. The humans honored this supreme species with the title name of Crusnik. It was taken from anient lore from the old world, from the word, Krusnik; an ancient shapeshifting spirit who was believed to drive evil from hollowed grounds. The second species was dubbed Methuselah, the term possibly taken from a biblical term in the old bible.

Highly advanced nanomachines were found in preserved bones, and eventually more complete copies were found in special store rooms in containers completely preserved. Scientists began to break down the nanomachines and study them. All the while, cities in special domes were being constructed as more and more people began to move to Mars from earth. Scientists were fastinated by the structure of how these nanomachines apparently altered their host's DNA, allowing them to withstand the pressure and hostile conditions of mars and space itself. It was unknown if the nanomachines were manufactured by the creatures themselves or they created this technology themselves in order to advance their own evolution.

The more humans continued to study the structure of the nanomachines they realized how the system boosted all physical attributes of the body and increased their immune system. The scientists saw this as a hopeful chance to cure all disease in humans and to increase the human life expectency. On the flip side, the militar leaders of different countries began to see this technology as a possible bio weapon without draw backs of such things as neuclear fall out or global wide destruction. As such, within the first year of colonizing the planet mars, experiments began on numerous human test subjects to see if they could possibly handle an intigration of the alien technology into their bodies.

The first experiments began with attempting to infuse young adults and teenagers with the nanomachines, scientists under the impression humans who were still growing would have an easier time accepting the foreign substance. The experiments failed, resulting in one of two ways, the test subjects dieing, or nothing happening at all. Finally, the scientists decided the intigration needed to be done into the system as the system itself was forming. In other words, the nanomachines should be intigrated into the body when it was still developing as an embryo, the DNA code able to be re-written to accept and make full use of the nanomachines and their powers.

The tests were a success, at least for the Methuselah Nanomachines, the Crusnik nanomachines were still killing the embryos upon introduction. With the Methuselah well enough along full attention was turned to the Crusnik. Because the crusnik nanomachine was a much higher stress "parasite" a pure human body was unable to withstand the force. It was decided the human embryos would be altered, supped up if you with with the DNA taken from the successful Methuselah nanomachine subjects. The trick worked. With the human dna beefed up by the Methuselah DNA, the crusnik nanomachines were finally accepted by only four embryos.

Two male, and two female, all created from unrelated DNA, perfect for a breeding program. The two males were born at the same time, one was given the name Cain, the second was named Abel. Even though both were born in the same year, they were both created in two seperate places. The first female was also born in the same year as the two males, her given name was Lilith. A couple years later the fourth female was born, she was dubbed, Seth.

Cain, Abel, and Seth were all raised by the same fosterparents, and were adoptive siblings. Even though they are not related by blood, they all bare the same lastname of Nightroad. Lilith on the other hand was raised apart from the other three and was given a different lastname. As the four Crusnik grew and matured, the Methuselah population had exploded on Mars. The results were better than anyone could have ever imagined! Superio Strength, Speed, Agility, Healing, Sences, high immunity to certain toxins, it was a dream come true, until the dark side was revealed.

The Methuselah could not enter the sunlight or else the nanomachines went berserk, devouring the body of their host. Apparently something about the solar energy shorted out something in the nanomachines. It was later realized the chemical compounds in silver had the same effect on the nanomachines as the sun. It was thought because the original owners of the nanomachines lived under the surface of the crust, they never caliberated their creations to withstand the effects of solar radiation and so on. Silver was not an element on Mars, as such the chemical compounds could have negative effects on the nanomachines.

But the worst effect surfaced only after the Methuselah test subjects were put through rigorious physical endurance obsticles. Though the nanomachines offered the host inhuman strength, speed, and so on, it came at a great price. The nanomachines devoured the red blood cells of the host, thus, in order to remain alive the nanomachines required replacement blood cells. The only way to gain these blood cells was to kill and drink the blood of those who did not have the nanomachines within them. In otherwords, humans had unwittingly created artificial vampires. It still remains unknown if the original owners of the nanomachines had this same problem. But since the nanomachines were intirgrated into a different species this could have been the side effect.

Once this fact became public knowledge, the remaining humans on Mars began to panic and started to return to earth. When the knowledge of such monsters reached the people on earth, they rebuked the genetically altered humans, aka the Methuselah. Growing tired of the descrimination the Methuselah remained on Mars for a set period of time, breeding and raising families of their own. Eventually they were forced to return to earth, the supplies left on the planet having been depleated. When the Methuselah returned to earth a war broke out between the humans and the Methuselah, a great hatred erupted between the two.

As the war waged on, greater studies were being conducted on the Crusniks. It was learned these creature packed a punch of power anywhere from ten to twenty to thirty times stronger than any Methuselah! Their powers allowed them to withstand and endure things which would easily bring a Methuselah down. It was also found out, in order for the crusnik to maintain their powers, they had to replace their red blood cells as well, but they could expand their power by taking the nanomachines from the Methuselah's blood. Crusniks needed Methuselah blood to survive, they were the vampire's vampire!

When the Crusniks were brought into the war to destroy the Methuselah, things did not go as planned. Cain and Seth felt for the Methuselah, believing themselves no different than the Methuselah, thus, they joined the "vampire's" side of the fight. Lilith on the other hand, remained with the humans, hoping to stop the fighting and create peace between the two sides. Abel, not wanting to be alone, initially joined his adoptive siblings with the Methuselah, but as time wore on he began to question his choice. Not to mention he had fallen in love with Lilith.

Eventually the war erupted out of control, Cain killing Lilith. Later on, Seth and Abel shoved their adoptive brother out of a spaceship into the upper atmosphere of earth. They believed they killed him as they watched his body instantly turn to ash as they were in the beginning stages of re-entry. Unknown to them Cain was able to regenerate from his ashes and returned to earth in hiding. Seth vanished and Abel returned Lilith's body to the Vatican to have her burried. He spent the next 900 years mourning her death and protecting her grave.

Ten years ago, Abel was found by Cathrine, a high ranking member of the Vatican, she invited Abel to come and work for her and help to finally establish peace between the Methuselah Empire and the world of humans. After Lilith's death and Cain's believed death and Seth's disappearance, the major part of the war ended, things settling into a hair trigger calm.

• Bone Blades [very similar to the bone blades of the crusnik in appearance. Accept nanomachines fill these blades and cause them to vibrate at hypersonic speed, making the weapon able to cut through anything and blast objects apart with the frequency it lets off]
  
• Extending Claws and Fangs [some methuselah have the ability to extend their finger nails into deadly claws and lengthen their fangs for a more successful kill]

• Superior Strength [ten times stronger than a human]
  
• Superior Speed/Agility [ten times faster and more agile than a human]

Weaknesses:

Seeing as Dhampire's are half human, the traditional methods of harming a Methuselah are only half as effective. However, because of the human side, they are easier to kill using conventional methods.

• Sunlight [causes first degree burns and blinds them]
  
• Silver [causes first degree burns and the wounds will not heal]
  
• Holy Water [seers the skin and causes blisters and boils]
  
• Still need to drink blood at least once a week
  
• Still are bound to the nanomachines shutting down if they over do it in battle and do not replenish their red blood cells.

Species History

A dhampire is the offspring of a human and a methuselah. Though it is looked down upon by both humans and methuselah alike, that still does not mean love between two different species does not happen. Most of the time the relationship is a forbiddon and secret affair, the child often being kept hidden from the world. If the affair is only a quick fling and a child is the result, the child is usually shunned by one or both parents and is often left to die or is placed in an orphanage to grow up hating both humans and methuselah. Sometimes the offspring are killed and so are the parents if the methuselah's family find out.

For its rather easy to recognize the difference between a half breed and a full blood.

The biggest difference between a half breed and a true methuselah is the amount of times they need to consume blood in the span of a week. A typical Methuselah needs to drink blood at least four to five times a week. If they are taking blood tablets they require at least a tablet every day. A Dhampire only requires human blood once a week on average and if they are taking blood tablets they only need to take them three times a week. Of course the other obvious difference is in their appearance and the extent of their powers.

A dhampire often has darker complected skin than a methuselah, not to mention their fangs only appear when they are in need of blood. Because they are half human, Dhampires have a higher resistance to silver, holy water, and the sunlight but they are not completely immune to it. Because the nanomachine is not only intigrated into the methuselah's blood, it's also in their bone marrow and DNA. This being said, when the methuselah mates with a human and produces an offspring, the nanomachines change, they mutate to harmonize with the strange set of genetics of the human.

A side effect of this hybridization is the ability of the nanomachines to sense and detect other dhampires and methuselah anywhere from 300 feet away to 10 miles away. It varies from dhampire to dhampire. In some rare cases, a dhampire child can be born with all the weaknesses of the methuselah and none of the strengths. Meaning they are a human who is allergic to silver, sun, and holy water.

The lycan is a strange creature indeed. In ancient lore, the lycan was described as a supernatural shapeshifter, the feral creature of the night, and the sworn enemy of the vampire. During the beginning of the war between humans and methuselah, a side project was being conducted in secrecy by the same team who created the crusniks. When the war began, the four crusniks were still too young to properly controll their powers, better yet they were only mere children, too young to put into war. The Crusniks were decided to be the final blow against the methuselah and thus would be put into action after proper training.

In the mean time, something had to be done to help the human soldiers fight back against the methuselah. The team of scientists began altering the nanomachines in hopes of creating a new weapon which could be controlled and used until the crusnik were fully operational. Researching into ancient lore, the scientists found something to model their new creation after, the lycan, better known as the werewolf. In traditional lore, the lycan was a human who possessed the ability to shapeshift into different variations of a wolf for battle.

The shapeshifting element would take far too long to put into action, not to mention the nanomachines would have to be intigrated into an embryo, it would eat up time they did not possess. Instead two options were taken. The first was simple enough, infuse actual wolves with the altered nanomachines and see what would happen. Of course the nanomachines had to be intigrated into a wolf embryo but seeing as an animal matured much faster than a human, it only took a year before the new weapon was ready. The resulting creatures were the size of full grown bull moose, with glowing red eyes, extendible claws and fangs, lightning reflexes and senses even more accute than a methuselah.

The beasts were controlled by human forces, the nanomachines having had a new system installed into them which would allow the humans to control them as if they were flesh coated robots. With a predatory mind upgraded by the nanomachines to allow them to make concious choices in battle, the human's control was made as a back up incase the creatures went out of control.

The second option for a lycan was to create a wolf/human hybrid and enfuse it with the nanomachines for a long term use. The project began, youg humans having their dna codes ripped apart and having wolf dna placed into the gaps and infused with the nanomachines. Unfortunately this did not go over well, many of the subjects were killed upon the introduction of the nanomachines. By the time the problem was sorted out, the Crusniks were old enough to be put on the frontlines. Thus, the project was abandoned.

Most of the wolves were destroyed once the crusniks were activated, however a small bands of the wolves managed to escape, forming their own underground sanctuaries, hidding from both man and methuselah.

The History of the Cyborg dates back to ancient times, well before the war between humans and methuselah began. The original definition of a cyborg was any human with a mechanical body part or organ. Now, a cyborg is any human being who has more than 15 percent of their body set with machinery. So long as the machine parts to not exceed 90 percent, the creature is still considered a cyborg, for a cyborg still contains flesh parts. Anything over 90 percent is considered a robot.

Many humans saught mechanical prostetics if they lost a limb or if an organ went bad or was in need of repair, they were never originally designed for combat but for the medical feild. This changed however when the Crusnik came into battle. When the Nightroads joined the Methuselah, leaving Lilith on the human's side, and with most of the lycans destroyed at this point, the option of near last resort was to creature a weapon out of a pure human.

The program started with creating complete robots, known as "The Killing Dolls. These creatures were humans turned to 90 to 95 percent machine in order to combat the methuselah and the crusnik. Only the brain structures were left unaltered by the conversion. Bones were replaced with metal, joints replaced by special motors and bearings. Blood was replaced with oil, skin was turned synthetic so it could regenerate to cover the machinery when the unit was damages. These were the ultimate warriors, they had no need for food or water, were incapable of falling ill and had no need to sleep. The only requirement of these units, was the occassional recharging of their batteries.

Weapons were built into their bodies, knives in the fingers, hands flipping back at the wrists to reveal guns. With mechanical and synthetic muscles made of special regenerating fibers they could heal in battle and keep fighting. Eyes were upgraded with the ability to see with infered vision, night vision, and even able to track the movements of a methuselah when they went into haste mode. Nerves were replaced with wiring, connecting to the brain and allowing it to process information at breakneck speeds.

Still possessing a human brain, the machines still maintaned a human personality, emotions, and thought patterns. However, they were upgraded with the ability to sync with other computers and even machinery. Unknown to the subjects a type of "back door" was installed into their machinery. If they tried to flee in battle, someone at high command could simply flip a switch, taking control of the person's body and sending them back into battle.

Not all went as planned, when the back door system was discovered, it was viewed as cruel and inhumane, thus it had to be removed. Now the scientists developed robots in the images of other people, but this time there was no human element about them, their brains were 100 percent computer. Still, these new robots were equipped with the most advanced AI's. These new robots were sent into battle as well, but eventually had to be de-activated when the AI became more powerful than the computer controlling it, and began to rebel against their human creators. The only Killing Doll to remain in existance is Tres, who works for the AX agency.

According to the records kept by the Vatican, humans are the original race of being. Scientifically speaking, humans have only existed on earth for about 50,000 years at this point in time. In truth, only after the last major ice age a little more than 12,000 years ago did the actual homosapian come into being. Modern man was not considered to exist until humans began to record their history in some way. Of course, the Vatican is the epicenter of the catholic religion. Meaning if you ask them about the human race you will recieve an answer from the bible saying man was the first thing God created after he gave rise to the universe. They will say Adam was created from earth, and by using his rib, Ev was created.

Since the war began over 900 years ago, the ancient logs of evolution, science, and everything else accomplished and discovered by humans concerning the ancient pasts and civilzations of humanity is all but lost. Only a few restricted books and articles about the times before 2080 are held in lock down by the Vatican. Some humans themselves still believe in the theory of evolution, saying there could be no higher power to protect them otherwise the Methuselah would not plague them. In reality, the knowledge of Methuselah being created by humans nearly a thousand years ago is forgotten to the humans but is kept secret by the Vatican.

The Methuselah, seeing as they can live for six centuries, are more readily aware of the knowledge of their origin, thus it fuels their hatred towards mankind for abandoning them as they did. At the same time it also fuels some Methuselah's desire for peace, believing they are no different than normal humans. Some Methuselah are extremist and are abhored by the fact their ancestors were created by humans, they simply refuse to accept it.

All in all, humans have suffered and struggled for thousands of years and are still clinging valiently to existance. Humans are highly resourceful creatures, their primal drive to survive often considered the most dangerous element about them. Humans will do anything in order to continue to live. Even if that means betraying their closet friends and family, even killing the people they love the most.

Still, humans refuse to give up the fight with the Methuselah. Most humans fear Methuselah but have grown so weary of the fighting they simply want it to be over already, not caring who wins or what happens so long as the fighting is finally over.
